ABOUT US
Founded in 2010, the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at Virginia Tech is one of the nation’s fastest-growing academic biomedical research enterprises and a destination for world-class researchers. The Institute’s Virginia Tech scientists focus on diseases that are the leading causes of death and suffering in the United States, including brain disorders, heart disease, and cancer. The Howell Lab is a group of Virginia Tech scientists working at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute in Roanoke, VA. We are dedicated to improving mother-infant health outcomes for our community by exploring the factors that influence healthy infant brain and behavioral development. We help families in our community through scientific research and provide a welcoming environment for our research participants.
